A Note From the Artist:

I have always been influenced by nature, having grown up spending most of my childhood outdoors and spending time with a father who taught me to see the beauty beyond our front door. On my tenth birthday, I received my first film camera and the world of photography was opened to me for the first time. I spent countless hours experimenting with light and composition and allowances were spent on rolls of film that never seemed to last long enough to satisfy my artistic hunger. Following in my father's footsteps, both literally and figuratively, I learned to see the world through the eye of the camera and how to capture one small square of it at a time. My photography generally focuses on nature shots, animal wildlife, and shots of moments that may be generally overlooked. I feel that the small things in life are the most important, because the little experiences and lessons are what form the foundations of our lives. In today's day and age, no one has the time to "see" rather than just simply "look" at something and consider it in the bigger, more vast space around it. The texture of an animal's fur, the shadows that distort a landscape at sunset, the vivid colors in simple objects discarded and lost every day - these are examples of the kind of photography I want to contribute, and remind the world that these little moments should not be overlooked. I want to give the world the kind of photos that make people stop in their tracks and take a second out of their hectic schedules to be reminded that everything has beauty.
